i’m not especially happy with either of these but they’re based on the same photo and were drawn on the first and last days of 2013 so at least that’s interesting
finally scanned everything i’ve drawn this year (actually, the one of tennant is from december 31, 2012).
the first time i drew karen was on january first of this year, and the second time is a drawing of the same photo done today, december 31st. it’s still not fabulous but i can tell i’ve improved, so i’m fine with it.
Sorry this picture is so big. It’s a 3-stitch cable from something I’m knitting right now. Spoilers. :) I’ll show you all what it is when it’s done.
Wow, I forgot I ever said that! Sorry! Here it is, done. John Watson’s cabled sweater. :3
This sticky note was in my journal reminding me that I couldn’t go to sleep until I drew something. (The Gallifreyan also says “draw.”) But then I drew on it. So here it is!
I’m on school break now, so hopefully that means more portraits coming soon! :D
I’m working on a portrait, I promise. :) It’s just going rather slowly.
In the meantime, here’s something I drew in math class, and here’s the video that taught me how.
Here’s another update, in case you didn’t see the earlier one. I won’t be doing daily drawings anymore. Instead, I’ll be drawing for a while every day on a bigger drawing.
I reeeeeally like doing portraits, but I don’t like having to find little things to doodle for 10 minutes every day.
So I’m going to say that this still counts as my New Year’s Resolution to draw something every day. You’ll now be getting probably mostly portraits, but far less often. See ya soon! (If you haven’t noticed already, I’m working my way through the entire Lizzie Bennet Diaries cast.)
What would you guys think about me making progress on one large drawing every day instead of drawing little things?
Technically, I said I was going to draw something every day, but do you think just adding to a drawing would count?
I’m pretty embarrassed by “drawings” like yesterday’s, and while I have a lot of people I’d like to draw, I find myself stuck each day trying to look for something I can draw in about 10 minutes.
If you’ve read this far, thank you!!! And if you’ve got a minute, I’d love a comment in my askbox as well. ;) I want to know what you think!
I haven’t lost interest, I promise. I just need more time… *yawns* *falls asleep*
Today I drew a paperclip that I bent into a better shape. And it still works as a paperclip. I’m pretty excited about this.
